Creative Overview

The world’s two billion children and adolescents are at the centre of the HIV/AIDS crisis. Today, more than half of all new infections strike people under the age of 25.

Entries to the creative competition should raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic as it affects children and young people and UNICEF’s related work, using some of the key messages chosen by UNICEF.

Entrants should read campaign context for the background to this campaign and to access facts and figures.

This is an awareness rather than specifically a fundraising campaign and is aimed at the general public and at funding/policy decision-makers. The campaign should help to put the issue of HIV/AIDS and children on the global agenda and direct audiences to the UNICEF website (www.unicef.org) for more information. The winning campaign will be translated to run in more than 50 countries over 5 continents.

Entries must be submitted via this website by Monday 18th April 2005 in both portrait and landscape formats. Entries need only be submitted as a creative concept, not final artwork. Entries must either be submitted in English or, if submitting in local language accompanied by a version of the creative in English.

Entrants should read How to Enter for details of entry costs, terms and conditions and creative resources.
